You Tube videos can't replace live help

We will walk you through each step of the chicken processing from start to finish. Don't think you are ready to do the "deed" - no worries!  You can do as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing!! We can harvest the bird for you and then walk you through the plucking, cleaning and packaging.  Need a supportive partner, bring a friend or spouse for free with your paid registration.
The main purpose of our workshop is to introduce you to the possibilities of raising your own chickens for your families food security even if you do not own a farm or acreage.  See first hand how we keep the birds, move the birds, process the birds and then take home your very own packaged whole chicken to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns prior to the event.  Due to the graphic nature of some of these activities, we ask that you do not bring small children to the workshop.  There will be plenty of farm day events in the coming months for you to bring the young ones to see the animals. In addition, no pets are allowed on the farm due to biosecurity and safety concerns this includes emotional support animals. We appreciate your cooperation.
